This class is designed for the guys who fear nothing in racing. This is the most challenging class in the world. You decide if you can make it through the X. The Track will be watered down to prevent hard impacts.  A lot of racers started there racing careers in the figure 8 class. Who do we all know that runs figure 8 every week? Televisions star Jesse James. If you want to see how it’s done watch him. This will be a paid class. If you make one lap you will go home with $10.

Appearance- must always look professional. These are template style cars and must always look AWESOME. All cars must be painted and be neat in appearance & professionally lettered at all times.  They must look like a racecar; badly damaged cars must be straightened.  Numbers must be assigned by MS office, and must be painted on both sides of car and on the ROOF of the car, readable from the tower, in minimum twenty-four (24â€�) heights. Make sure numbers do not blend in with color of race-car.  ALSO a 6â€� number with the letter (F) lettered in white located on the upper right side (Passenger side) of the windshield.  NOTE: DUPLICATE CAR NUMBERS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED!!

 

Eligibility- any rear wheel drive cars from 1960 through 2008 that are not fuel injected. No convertibles, jeeps and trucks.

Special vehicles allowed. Station wagons, El Camino’s Hearst, Trucks with nothing bigger then 350 cubic inches in it. Check with us about ford and dodge. If you don’t see your car then ask.

Safety- Racing suits are not mandatory but recommended. You must wear a long sleeve shirt & pants. An approved snell helmet is mandatory. No open face helmets.  You must add a fire extinguisher in drivers reach.  2 weeks to add this.

Gutting of car- take out all the glass but windshield. No broken glass can be found in car. Dirt cars can run a screen. All headlights and taillights must be removed. You can fill them in with sheet metal. All interior, but drivers seat. All belts but drivers belt. Save belts you can use them to lock hood and trunk down if you would like. Take out insulation under hood and trunk. All molding.  You must cover all holes in the car with sheet metal. No exceptions.

Body- must remain stock. You can add sheet metal at the bottom of the bumpers and lower half of the car to make it look sporty. You can use an aftermarket nosepiece. 

Specialty items that are encouraged

The most creative car will be awarded a $100 check at banquet.

Spoiler- must be used on the deck lid. Any type any size. You have 2 weeks to add this.

On roof only
Lights bars can be added with flashing lights. Example towing or police lights. Strobe lights on top of car are ok.

Lights anywhere on the car but they can’t be hit by other cars. On dashboard and deck lid ok.

Strobe lights on top of car are ok.

Sirens are ok. They can’t be turned on until green is about to be dropped.

No vulgar or insensitive wording will be allowed on cars.

 

Door plate- you may add a ¼ inch steel plate on drivers door only. Or you can use a bar inside the car and run it down the side.

Doors- must be welded or chained shut before you can compete.

 

Weight- No weight can be added for any reason.

Frame- minimum 6 inches, from ground to the lowest part of the frame. No notching of the frame for any reason. If frame horns get bent we can tell you how to fix them.

Tires- can be any factory tire. No wide treads. No racing or performance tires that can be used for rain performance.

Windshield or screens are mandatory- you must have factory wiper blades. They must work. If you have screen you must use tear offs.

Engines- must remain stock. You can run the carburetor that came with car. If 4bbl you’re allowed.

Transmission- must be automatic. No racing torque converters. Must have a GM number on them. You can run transmission lines together but you may over heat the transmission

Radiator- Stock, in stock location. Anti-freeze or any additives are prohibited. If you lose any Anti-freeze on the track you will be fined $25 and you WILL have to clean up your mess. NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE. Bring a broom with your anti-freeze.

Suspension- must remain stock. No racing suspension parts at all. No interchanging parts.  You may camber wheel. You may change sway bar pins to large on one side and small on the other.

Shocks-must remain a stock shock. No heavy duty shocks on the right front or rear.

Gas tank- No fuel cells allowed. You have 2 weeks to add 2 more straps the opposite way then the factory, It is recommended that you race with only amount of fuel you need to race.

Drive shaft- you will have 2 weeks to add 2 safety straps under the drive shaft up front so drive shaft wont hit the ground nose first. Rear of shaft is ok.

Bumpers- may not be cut or altered in anyway. You must bolt or weld a tow chain in the center of the bumper.

Ignition- must be stock. No MSD or special ignition boxes. You may use a push button to start your car.
Fuel and fuel pumps. Stock mechanical fuel pumps only. No electric fuel pumps. Racing gas not permitted in this division.

CHEATERS- Anything not covered by the following rules; abuse of rules, and creative interpretation of the rules should be checked with a tech inspector before proceeding. If it’s not factory DON’T DO IT. Any decision on questionable items about rules is up to the tech inspector and his or her decisions are FINAL!

 

This division is a stock race car. Leave it that way. If you want to race with big engines and load bolts please run the Sportsman class. You will have 2 weeks to correct anything that the tech official thinks you need to do to be safe.
